Quidditch Scene
Fight Surrounding the Burrow
Slugghorn Memory
53 - INT. THREE BROOMSTICKS - LATER - DAY
As the trio enter, Harry glances round, locates Slughorn at the bar, planted plumply on a stool.
HARRY
No. Over here.
Hermione and Ron, in the midst of seating themselves at a perfectly acceptable—and clean—table, see Harry seat himself at one strewn with detritus of a previous customer–but which puts him in direct view of Slughorn. They exchange a glance, shrug, join Harry. Ron starts to take the chair directly opposite Harry–blocking his view.
HARRY (CONT'D)
No, no. Sit next to me.
Ron stops, exchanges another glance with Hermione.
RON
O-kay.
A SKINNY KID in an apron appears, tosses a FILTHY RAG upon the table–which begins to wipe the surface on its own. Harry cranes his neck around the kid to keep Slughorn in view.
SKINNY KID
What'll we have?
HERMIONE
Three Butterbeers. Splash of ginger in mine, please.
The kid WHISTLES and the rag leaps back into his pocket. Harry continues to eye Slughorn, when he see Draco. They lock eyes briefly, then Draco exits.
RON
Aw, bloody hell…
Harry turns, and sees Ron glowering at Ginny who sits in a dark corner with Dean, their faces lit by a guttering candle.
HERMIONE
Oh, honestly Ronald. They're just holding hands…
(as Dean kisses Ginny)
And snogging.
RON
I'd like to leave.
HERMIONE
Leave? You can't be serious.
RON
That happens to be my sister.
HERMIONE
So? What if she looked over here and saw you snogging me? Would you expect her to get up and leave?
Ron blinks, utterly speechless. Then:
SLUGHORN
Harry, m'boy!
Slughorn's voice BOOMS so loudly even Ginny jumps–and catches Harry looking. As Slughorn waddles over, SLOSHING mug in hand, Harry rises immediately–an action so grossly out of character that Hermione regards him with amused curiosity.
HARRY
Hello, sir. Wonderful to see you.
Hermione, brow wrinkling, turns to Ron, silently mouths: wonderful to see you?
HARRY (CONT'D)
So what brings you here, sir?
SLUGHORN
Oh, the Three Broomsticks and I go way back. Longer than I'd care to admit. In fact I remember when it was simply One Broomstick!
As Slughorn GUFFAWS, Harry joins in, LAUGHING HEARTILY as well. Slughorn's belly trembles next to Hermione's cheek and his waving mug sloshes over, spattering the table.
SLUGHORN (CONT'D)
Oops! All hands on deck, Granger!
Hermione smiles thinly, when a WHISTLE is heard and the FILTHY RAG is back, whisking away Slughorn's mess as the SKINNY KID slides three foaming mugs onto the table. (In the b.g. Katie Bell emerges from the back, starts for the exit. Her friend LEANNE follows her out.)
SLUGHORN (CONT'D)
Listen, m'boy. In the old days, I used to throw together the occassional supper and invite a select student or two. Would you be game.
HARRY
I'd consider it an honor, sir.
SLUGHORN
You'd be welcome too, Granger.
Hermione in the midst of emptying her Butterbeer in one long draw, SLAMS down her mug–leaving behind a "mustache."
HERMIONE
Be delighted, sir.
SLUGHORN
Brilliant. Look for my owl.
(exiting, to Ron)
Good to see you, Wallenby.
Ron frowns as Slughorn waddles away, turns to Harry.
RON
What're you playing at?
HARRY
Dumbledore asked me to…get to know him.
RON
Get to know him?
HARRY
Dunno. But it must be important. Otherwise Dumbledore wouldn't ask.
Slam! Ron turns, see that Hermione has emptied his mug as well. Ron gestures to her upper lip.
RON
Um…You've got a little…
Without a thought, she flicks her tongue up, wipes it clean.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" Moves to Summer 2009
BURBANK, Calif., Aug 14, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that it has moved back the release date of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" to Summer 2009. The sixth installment of the blockbuster Harry Potter franchise will now open day-and-date domestically and in the major international markets on July 17, 2009. The announcement was made by Alan Horn, President and Chief Operating Officer, Warner Bros.
In making the announcement, Mr. Horn stated, "Our reasons for shifting 'Half-Blood Prince' to summer are twofold: we know the summer season is an ideal window for a family tent pole release, as proven by the success of our last Harry Potter film, which is the second-highest grossing film in the franchise, behind only the first installment. Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers' strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films--changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move 'Half-Blood Prince' to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer."Jeff Robinov, President of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, confirmed, "The release date change does not alter the production schedule for this or future Harry Potter films. Post-production on 'Half-Blood Prince' was completed on time, and the studio's release plans for the two-part 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' will not be affected by this change. We know Harry Potter fans are eagerly anticipating seeing the final chapters unfold onscreen. In fact, the good news for them is that the gap will now be shortened between 'Half-Blood Prince' and the first part of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.'"
Commenting on the release date change for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," David Heyman, the producer of all the Harry Potter films, offered, "When Jeff Robinov explained the rationale behind moving the release date of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' to July 2009, it was immediately apparent that this offered us the potential to reach the widest possible audience. I am extremely proud of this latest film and of the work of David Yates and our incomparable cast; I believe we have developed and pushed the series further still. We are all looking forward to sharing it with Harry Potter fans around the world, even if we have to wait just a bit longer."
David Yates, the director of both "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and who will also helm "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," added, "It has been a joy to work on 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.' Dan, Rupert and Emma and all our returning young cast continue to blossom, and our new cast members bring fresh color and life to Hogwarts. Even as we put the finishing touches on this latest film, we are already beginning preparations on the final two films--we start filming in February--and I am excited to bring this remarkable series to the exciting and moving conclusion its loyal fans deserve."
In "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Heyday Films production, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." David Yates, who directed last year's summer blockbuster "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," returns to direct "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." David Heyman and David Barron are the producers, with Lionel Wigram serving as executive producer. Steve Kloves wrote the screenplay, based on the book by J.K. Rowling.
Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are reprising their roles as young wizards Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The film also stars Jim Broadbent, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis and Julie Walters. The cast also features David Bradley, Jessie Cave, Frank Dillane, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Helen McCrory, Natalia Tena, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and Bonnie Wright.
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

NECA Toys - Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley

From Comic Con 2008, NECA's booth got several Harry Potter merchandise and of those are Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley's models. The handwork is really great!
I feel weird though seeing the models were look-a-alike of the actors. But anyways, enjoy it! Wish that Ginny was also wearing ordinary clothers, just like Harry.
Thanks to Mugglenet!

Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright - Behind the Scene Picture Before A Tender Moment

More tenderness coming!!!
When I saw this from my favorite site, BonniWrightOnline, I can't really believe it! They shot a tender moment between the couple on Christmas Day. I can see the Christmas Tree on the back ground! Honestly speaking, I like the idea that the two (Dan and Bonnie) created/thought about the shoe lace act than the maggot act from the book. It seems that the characters are now maturing and the director are asking more of the actors this time.
I just don't like how they spelled Bonnie's last name...KNIGHT?! Whew! Don't they know how famous her parents are when it comes to jewelries? Hmmm?
See some highlights:
Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Wright) have a stolen moment where their lips nearly meet.
"Harry has these feelings for Ginny which he's unable to express or fulfill because Ron is very protective of her," says director David Yates.
"Ginny is going through a time of exploration. She's finding confidence with boys and has been going out with a few. There's a kind of maturity that is quite adventurous."
Yates encouraged the two young actors to come up with an idea to illustrate their burgeoning affection.
"I was saying to Bonnie, 'You really like Harry, you know he's slightly tense and worried about Ron finding out. How would you engineer getting close to him?"
The two came up with a simple act: Ginny notices Harry's shoe is untied, simply says "Shoelace" and reaches over and ties it. "Then it changes from that kind of maternal looking after him to something more heightened and sexual," Yates says.
Thanks to BWO for the heads up.
Thanks to hbpmoviepics.livejournal.com for the scan/pic. Lovely!
Half Blood Prince Movie Without the Frizzle From The Book
The next installment Harry Potter film will face a unique situation: It arrives more than a year after the completion of the literary saga. (The seventh and final book, Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows, was published last summer.)
The big-screen versions, the filmmakers realize, now have to be separate entities.
"We had to make this film a worthy successor to the last — and a successful stand-alone film in its own right," says producer David Baron.
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince— due in theaters Nov. 21 and highlighted in this exclusive look — the focus is on the evolution of Harry's rival Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) into a malevolent force. Also introduced: Potions teacher Professor Slughorn (Jim Broadbent).
Harry will whip up some particularly potent brews, thanks to his discovery of a book mysteriously marked "the property of the Half-Blood Prince."
Potter's alchemy has been consistently powerful at the box office. Last year's Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix conjured up $292 million.
This time around, the danger may come from inside Hogwarts.
Harry, now 16, is suspicious of Malfoy, and he works with Dumbledore to retrieve memories pertaining to the evil Lord Voldemort. But, being a teen as well as a wizard, he is drawn to Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Wright), the younger sister of Ron (Rupert Grint).
Do Harry and Ginny share a magical snog?
"They're about to kiss," director David Yates says. "Then the bloody Death Eaters turn up and cause all sorts of anarchy."

RUMOR: Description of HBP Trailer
It's been a while now and there's a speculation that the new trailer of the Half Blood Prince will come out on the showing of the movie Narnia Chronicles: Prince Caspian on May 16 with the following description:
...the trailer will clearly show the darkening tone of the series, “with footage of the attack on the Burrow” as evidence of this. Reportedly, trailer shots will include a taunting Bellatrix, Draco on the train, Slughorn, Snape in a pivotal moment, Dumbledore in the cave, and clear evidence of the developing Harry/Ginny relationship. There are also quick glimpses of Quidditch, the Trio, and a bit of humor from Ron.
Thanks to TLC.
How I love the part of developing Harry/Ginny relationship! I hope to see Ginny in Quidditch uniform together with her man, Harry and brother, Ron.
